  11. I'm looking for a few montipora capricornis frags. I'm after red, orange, purple rim, blue polyp, pink polyp etc. Let me know what you have available I would prefer under 5". Thanks, Matt
  12. Yeah I think it's the flow. I have light on it so I'm not worried about that, but I haven't been able to produce good flow through the fuge. I'm going to look at it tonight and try to modify the direction of the flow. I think the flow is more towards the top of the fuge.
  13. Currently I have been running a 10 gallon for about 8 months with a modified AC110 acting as my refugium. I have not had a refugium before and I want to make sure I'm getting the benefits of using one. I have some small live rock in it and a ball of green chaeto. When I looked at the Chaeto today it almost looks like it is collecting dirt and hasn't really grown since I placed it inside the fuge. I'm not sure if I need to add more flow to the fuge or try to change the direction of the flow. Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Matt
  14. is this still available? if so you have a pic?
  15. What a response... A lot of you like the red sea pro quite a bit. I might have to try their small box to see how it goes. I was thinking maybe the reef crystals but it doesn't seem like a good choice. I think a poll would be cool for this topic, don't know how to start one. For the guys that are using red sea pro, do you see yourself dosing a lot between water changes. Meaning calcium/magnesium/iodine etc.?
  16. I browsed around and couldn't find a topic already started on this. I'm just about finished up with my bucket of Kent salt and maybe looking to switch to something different. I've used Instant Ocean in the past and now I've been using Kent for the past year. Have any of you used something different or like one in particular? Thanks in advance
  17. What type of lighting do you have these under?
  18. I'll see what it available in the wysiwyg during the week of the order. I was thinking about a frag of the sunset montipora. I was under impression that these needed metal halides but they said it would be fine in my setup. I have a 10 gallon with 2(36 watt) power compacts. This is what I was looking at. http://www.vividaquariums.com/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=05-6100-10&Category=Coral%20And%20Invertebrates:Montipora&SortBy=Price Any thoughts?
  19. have any of you ordered fish before or just corals? Just curious to see the success rate of fish being shipped.
  20. did anyone that was their recently notice if they had any true perculas?
  21. The weekend I'm gonna be out of town... Maybe I can get my fiance to stop by for me. Do you guys honestly believe there will be a line to get in? I'd love for my fiance to stop by for some good deals but I don't want her to stand in line.
  22. What stores did you go to in S. Florida? Big Als has tons of live stock typically and a nice place to go pick up coral is Coral Reef Farm which if I remember correctly is right off of 95 on Sterling. To your question just bringing the coral back in a styrafoam box or a cooler with the corals and fish double or even triple bagged would be fine. Every time I make it down that way I take it with me on the plane and just check my bags. You got to remember corals and fish are shipped across the world so 21 hours in a car is fine as long as you have enough oxygen in the bags and are sealed properly. Both places I recemmended pack livegoods very well. Also in Ft. Lauderdale area off of Oakland Park Blvd. is Exotic Aquatic and they typically have nice livestock as well. I would stay away from Jawz which is off of Broward Blvd. their tanks never really looked very healthy.
  23. I'm going to be starting up a 180 in the near future and I've been looking at Warner Marine K2 / ATB 840 / MSX 2S / and Bubble King (vertex alpha 200). I think I'm going with one of the cone skimmers but I still have some time to research and see what I think will be the best route. Most of these will be fine on a heavily stocked 180.
