hey everyone,

jake is going to issue numbers for this sale to help with crowd control. Numbers will be handed out starting at 9:00am Saturday morning. First person in line gets the first number and will get first dibs with the livestock. Second person gets second number and so on. All customers will be allowed into the fishroom, but you will only be helped once your number is called. To make this work, we will not be able to hold any livestock. Every item is first come, first served. Jake will have over 15 people working the fishroom so that means we will be able to serve 15 numbers at a time. The numbers are for the fishroom only, everyone is welcome to shop the drygoods, visit with the vendors and take advantage of all the free food and drinks while you are waiting for your number to get called.

Just got done walking thru the store and all I can say is WOW. The ricordias look amazing, but I would definately get here early for the rics because they will go fast. 4 rics (some with more than one mouth) for only $39.99!!!!

Also for everyone with kids, Jake and his wife have a ton of fun activities for the kids including face painting, rub off tatoos and balloons. Don't forget that we they will have free food including hamburgers and hotdogs all day long.

We need to fill a couple shifts here at the store. All the positions are for the sales floor so you will need some aquarium / fish experience. They pay is not all that great but the discounts are really good.

The shifts we need to fill are:

Monday 10:30 – 6

Wednesday 10:30 – 6

Thursday 10:30 – 6

Saturday 12 – 8

Sunday 12 – 4

We will also have another full time shift that will open in mid / late August. You must work at least 15 hours per week to be eligible for the employee discount.

The tank pictured in Justin’s link is DSA's new Neo Nano Waterfall system. We have an extra one here at the store that I think we will be setting up this weekend. I saw one running at the manufacturer a few months ago and they are very cool.

For starfire tanks we use DSA http://www.deepseaaquatics.net/ and AGE http://www.acrylicandglassexhibits.com/ Both do amazing work although AGE seems to have the edge when it comes to custom work and the PVC bottoms.

We have a used 135 gallon Oceanic that one of our customers dropped of last night that we have no room for. FIRST ONE TO PICK IT UP CAN HAVE IT FOR FREE. The tank is 72" x 18" x 24" and was reef ready, but they cut the overflow boxes out and sealed up the holes. The customer said it does hold water, but we never tested it. Again it's FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. Sorry we can not hold it for anyone. Please don't call and ask us to hold it. Once some one has physically picked up the tank we will update this thread.

just make sure that each bulb has its own reflector and not just one big reflector for the whole unit. The reflectors is what makes the t5 work so well. With it only being 9" wide, i cant see how they could fit 8 individual reflectors and 8 bulbs. We have a 48" tek light with 8 bulbs and 8 reflectors and its almost 20" wide. Just something you might want to look into.

Just wanted to thank everyone that came out and supported us during the sale. It was with out a doubt our busiest day ever! We had now idea we would have such a huge turn out. We just need to find somewhere to put another couple registers. Thanks again everyone. We couldn't do it with out you guys. Now we have to start getting ready for the Anniversary Sale!

I would look at the the six line wrasse or the four line wrasse. Both are "basically" reef safe and would do well in your tank.

It looks like the coral folks are going to get here early, so for anyone looking to get first dibs on corals, I suggest you get here early because it will be first come first serve. We will have over 20 people working the sale, so we should get to everyone relatively quickly.
