  1. Im totally willing to sell the tank and lights, its a 58 gal reef ready tank with a 400 watt m/h t5/ moonlight, theres 25 gal sump scwd return, return pumps broken, red sea prizm hang on back skimmer...the tank is a bit rough but has been good to me over the past 4 years, and I bought it from someone else so its definatly used, however the lights are only 6 months old, corals are all gone now, but live rock is still up for grabs, though at this point its prob best for someone interested in scrubbing it down and starting it over, as im sure there is die off going on.

  2. I've been having some issues(as im sure we all have) with money and a job and most importantly time. Ive been such on the go i just realized that not only has my tank been looking very ruged over the past 2 months or so, the equipment is getting to the age where replacement is nessisary. I cant afford to do so, and the main pump stopped working 2 days ago. There are a couple nice kenya tree corals, a nice leather, a chili coral, and a few polyps and mushrooms. I'd love someone to come get them today before they die. Im not looking for any massive amount, just give me what you really think is fair for them. There is also a good 50 lbs of liverock and i think some snails as well as some nice dragons breath macro. I am going out for brunch but can be reached at 512-484-2278 if you want to come take a look and see if your interested. Todays my only day off so i hope this works out

  3. If your looking at eels, I have a pretty cool chestnut moray. They dont get more than 12 inches or so, Mines at full size now, Irridecent brown in color with white spots around the jaw, Pretty shy eel, but will come out for food. He also tends to eat the smaller fish...but I am looking to rehome him

  4. I have a beautiful iridescent brown 7-8 inch chestnut eel. Unfortunately he is a voracious eater, and has consumed a majority of my smalled fish. Thats the downside to him, He does however come out and is not nearly as timid as most books make him sound. Not common and stays small. Not sure what i want for him but im open to trades or cash, any interesting offers? I dont have a pic of him, sorry

  5. Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried the diatomateous earth before. It did work to some degree but was way messy, and It didnt resolve the problem, just lessened it. As far as professionals go...I'm a college student who just lost my job...i have enough problems paying rent and bills and maintaining the tank as it is, let alone paying a professional, I guess what I am asking is if my idea with the drop cloth and tying it off around the bottom sounds like it would work, or does someone see a flaw in it?

  6. So my apartment has unfortunatelyh become infested with fleas. I have all the animals on advantage so not sure how it happened but now the flea's are eat at me. I really hate to do the flea fog as my reef tank is open top an in the main room. Ive already tried various furnature sprays and carpet powders to no avail. Does anyone have any other ideas? or If not, I'm thinking a large plastic drop cloth over the tank and then tied around the bottom should keep it safe, does this sound safe enough?
