my wife and i are buying a house in south austin right now and have delt with our agent since may and he came highly recommended from a family member. we are super impressed with how hard he has worked to find us the right house and put in a competitive but still reasonable offer. his name is Bill Hines and his website is www.lowriderbill.com and if you go with him let him know tyand melissa sent you to him. we recieve nothing for referring him but would love to get him more sales as he is so awesome

what i did with my DIY rock was to make the pieces small enuff to fit in the back of my toilet and then for about six weeks every time i flushed they would get a fresh water change and also lower water consumption. 6 weeks seemed ample for my rock to stop leaching anything and be ready for the main tank

Thank you all for your warm welcome. We ended up buying the KB Home house in Springfield Heights in Austin. They are getting ready to pour the slab as we speak, so we'll be leaving here on Aug 4th to head down. We look forward to meeting you all! Ty & Melissa

i wish we were getting down there sooner because we have a 30extra high that is going to be a seahorse tank once the house is done. if you have not ordered by the time i get down there then i will for sure split an order with you. we are think that three horses would be good for that tank

If I have any room left on the moving truck I will buy what I can fit from the Home Depot up here in maine. I'll have a reciept and you guys can have it for what I pay for it. anyone have any ideas how long i could keep my live rock and sand alive? we'll be about 4 days driving and then have to stay at my father in laws for a month until the house is built. i was thinking a big trash can with battery air pump then add a powerhead once at her dads.

its starting to look like i'll be working in north austin so its OK that all the good stores are up there. if anyone has a free minute could they write what intersections the two good lfs are on up there

Looks like our house in mckinney heights will be done in sept so we will be heading down early aug. are there any decent stores near the east end of william cannon? or on slaughter?

We actually are trying to close right now on a house in Kyle. If for any reason it fails, we also have a deposit through kb homes in Southwest Austin(Springfield comunity). we are moving from portland maine not oregon but it is still a long ways, 2100 miles, have yet figured out how to transport livestock

Hi all!!! We are a family of 6 moving to Austin from Maine. My(Melissa) father has lived in Austin for 20 years and we are excited to be moving down. Our family consists of myself, my awesome husband(Ty) whom will be on here a lot more than myself...Our 11 year old son, Dylan. Our 2 year old son, R.J. and 1 year old daughter Sam. We also have my husband's father living with us. 4 neurotic cats, a 55 gallon freshwater tank and a 29 gallon reef tank filled with live rock, lps and soft corals and a cool lawnmower blenny. I think there's a huge amount of snails and hermit crabs in there as well. We also are planning on setting up a seahorse tank once we get down there! We will be moving there in about 4 months after a vacation we just took and bought a house through KB Homes and would love to join your group!
