  1. I always thought Mastiffs were on the sedentary side. Could be wrong. We have a Giant Schnauzer. Kinda hard to find, but a VERY ACTIVE dog. The kids would have to keep up with him. About 100lbs, so not crazy big, and he doesnt shed much, or drool :D. Would get another in a hart beat. But 1 is not enough, next time I will get two, they can beat some of the energy out on each other.

    Best of Luck.

  2. I figure $25 with the pump. Acrylic is a little scratched, not bad. Has chambers for pump, heater, and chems in overflow. Light is separate. not sure Im selling that. Has 3-4" of live sand in it. Accept most offers.

  6. Ok, its finally official. I am moving to Seattle in a few weeks. The wife and kids will be around until mid march, but I would rather not leave them with trying to take care of 3 tanks.

I have roughly 50+/- pounds of live rock, and I'd say 30-40lbs of sand. Quite a few frags. Couple fishies. I am stuck in Seattle with the snow, so I dont have any pictures of the two 3.5gals tanks, but I have my 20.

Ill be building my new sys. when I get up there so all hardware is going with me. Got hair alagae problem at moment. (RO membrane is spent and no DI, I need a new sys for that)

  7. Absolutely, and the biggest suggestion I could give is to not add any fish or shrimp for a few weeks. Although I know that's hard. The longer you hold off the bigger your pod population will be; and in a nano every little step helps. I added a golden banded coral shrimp to one of my 3gals. No more little things swimmin around :)

  8. I would wait a few weeks. Get yourself some test kits if you do not have them. Minimum you need ammonia, nitrate, Alkalinity, nitrite, and get some Buffer. I would be curious to see how well the crabs do, it might have been a little early for them. I have 3 nanos, 2 - 3.5gals, and 1- 20gal. Sounds like your off to a great start. When the nuisance alagae starts showing itself "purigen" has been great for me. Dont forget to plan on weekly water changes. Doing it weekly you wont have to worry about dosing anything but buffer once in a while. Good Luck, and welcome.
