  1. i'm looking for a nice sized canister filter for a 60G, maybe a magnum 350. if you have anything your not using, LMK
  2. cool to see something truly different! great set up. i have an idea for a tide pool tank were you would have an oversized sump where almost all of the water would go for low tide, then pumped back into the tank for high tide. stock it with anemones and urchins and snails, maybe a couple of blennies.
  3. i seem to remember a hillcountry cichlid club, but not any planted forums. if you find one let us know!
  4. clarkii's are known for being one of the more aggresive clowns( second of course to a maroon!). maybe you should get some percs.

i recently took down my tank, and now have about 100 lbs, and that is an estimate, that i need to get rid of. it's mostly fiji rock that i've had for 3-4 years, there's a little branch, and a few nice shelves. $3/lb. i will be in austin on saturday, so i could meet you somewere convenient to 35.
  7. a good place to add your topoff is in your overflow. that way it's well mixed before it reaches any sensitive lifeforms.
  8. i'm selling shrooms(red, blue, green striped, and green marbled) some rics(orange/blue, and blue) kenya tree, zoo frags, huge green fuzzy shrooms. all 5 - 15$ a piece.
  9. is the end of the waterline going into the sump under water? if so, that will prevent it from breaking siphon, even if the hose is running over a higher point. as long as the output is lower than the intake, and the output is underwater, the siphon will continue. HTH
  10. still have alot of livestock, and all equipment. PM me with any offers, or ?'s.
  11. hey, thanks for doing that! i'm sure it was just a couple of clicks of the button, how did you do that anyway? i still have a bunch of shots of the corals in another thread that i'd like to move over here too.
  12. ok, i'm not too computer savvy. it took me a couple of hours just to figure out how to get those pics posted on maast. i don't know how to create a link either. i know this might sound unbelievable for all you techies out there, but i don't spend my life, or make my living in front of a computer screen. i though some members here might be intereted in some of the items that i have for sale, so i did what i could to let everyone know what i have. if you find it too troublesome to click over to maast to check them out, i'm sorry, i guess i'll just sell them to others. seriously!
  13. please see my posts on maast.org for details, and prices.
  14. never seemed to bother my snails, my tank is teaming with them! i was thinking about $20, but i won't be able to catch the hogfish for several more weeks. i'll LYK if your interested.
  15. consider a candy hogfish, they're very beutifull, "reef safe", and don't need the DSB to hide in. mine is in and out of the rockwork all day. in fact mine will be available as soon as i sell off the remaining corals and rock in the tank.
