  1. If you are unsure on everything, then you are voting for Joseph Biden.
  2. You need to get a MIG welder and some 2x2 square steel tubing. Then get a piece of 1/2" steel plate. Then you can say it is over built. :-) I just built one for the 120G 4x2x2 tank we are going to setup in the new house. I only used 2x4 and 1/2" plywood. The side where skinned with 1/4" Oak, and I think it would hold my 3/4 ton diesel truck up. Sorry I do not have pictures and it is already moved to storage.
  3. I spent my youth working too hard. I learned a lot of valuable lessons, but am just starting to step back and enjoy myself. Working 60+ hours a week through High School and College was too much. My biggest mistake was not being old (wise) enough to understand the value of money. Now It just seems the more I make the more I spend. I believe there are too many factors in life to generalize youth (Family, Peers, Social Status, Financial Status, Geographic location, etc.).
  4. It was pretty on and off all weekend. It looks like the hosting company is a small shop and they where having problems with their system that routes traffic to the appropriate web server. I emailed one of the contact addresses I found for the company, but never heard anything back. seems to be OK this evening.
  5. I know Aqua Dome will drill, if you are south. If you are adventurous you could order the drill bit from "Diamond Bits USA" and drill it yourself.
  6. I am not sure you you would measure the flow rate, but here is info on my setup. I have a single overflow box that dumps into my refugium. Everything is wide open and a I have a 350GPH pump that returns the water to the tank. My refugium is also along side my tank, so I am sure this slows the water flow to some extent.
  7. I don't think the t5's we had where causing the problem, as they where on the tank from the previous owner. I can see how it may be contributing to the growth. I put a 96W PC on it for now, but it is very short. I will come up with something once the new canopy is built. It sounds like it just may have been from stirring up the sand. The Algea started before we even added the two puffers.
  8. We have been running one for a couple months with no problems.

    Rock

We have some limestone that came out of a tank in SA. It was in there for a couple years and then we had it in ours for a few months. It is now dried out in the garage. You are welcome to it.
  10. THe Python works great, but it is expensive. If you want to go on the cheap, you could just buy the venturi hose attachment and provide your own piece of hose. You used to be able to get them at waterbed stores.
  11. Could just be the type of bulbs. Aqua Dome just put some new VHOs in a couple of their tanks and they are pinkish. They where labeled as bright white "I think".
  12. I guess a fish (probably saltwater). Do I win it
  13. From the research I have done Acrylic will not block any of the light rays that the tanks needs. Glass will block certain light. Regal plastics sells Acrylic and they can cut it to size for you if you do not have the equipment to do it yourself. With all that said we do not have a cover on our 100G or the 30G Refugium. I am currently adding about 3 gallons per day.
  14. I have 2 150W MH and 2 96W Actinic over a 100 Gallon tank. I have not had any temp problems and the corals seem to be doing well with the lighting. I do plan to update the 10K bulbs. It is just too yellow.
  15. Tank looks great. I can't wait till we move and can setup our 120 Reef Ready.
