Located in Smithville in La Reata Ranch down Hwy 304.

Yeah...Jason was thinking of a way to put a different screen and an elbow to raise up where the water level is in the overflow. He's just not sure if what he wants to do will fit in the space.
I broke down and moved everyone over to the new tank. They all seem to be doing well. Realized I was missing one of my Hippo's. Jason found him when we moved the sump out of the old tank...he had jumped out and landed in the back on the floor. He was jerky for the mice. That really sucks because I had two and they are one of my favorite fish.

The only problem I have is how loud the thing is. It's basically the water going into the overflow...any ideas on how to quiet that down? Once the canopy is complete it will help some, but it sounds like we have the ocean in our living room.
-
We also bought a JBJ 800W heater and are going to be getting another Apex thing...PM2 or PM3. This will give us the ability to connect our skimmer to it so it shuts off if it goes wacky. It will also give us another temp. probe so we can measure the temp in the sump also, and will have a salinity port so we can eventually add to that.
Here's a pick of all the wires. Hubby is still working making that look better by grouping wires, etc. I also included a photo of the first three fish. I bought some chromes last night to test things out. They seem to be doing excellent.

Long overdue for some updates. We nixed the old sump and wake maker for a custom PM sump and 2 MP 60's. Everything on this is now brand new aside from the tank itself. Added the sand...I had to get in the tank to actually spread it out. Added water, which took us two weeks because we had to mix it, fill it, mix it, fill it, etc. When the water was half way, I put the rock I had curing in the tank. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to mess with it if the tank was full...unless I put on a swim suit.
Here are some photos as things continued.

Full size wave box, used, bought new O-rings and bought a new sponge for the inside. Has one magnet, which is enough for tanks smaller than ours. We decided to go with two MP60's.
Asking $250.

It's about 5 1/2 feet long and 18" wide. Has a large box placed in the middle for a refugium...which I REALLY liked! We decided to buy a brand new one after discovering some hairline cracks where the holes were drilled for the output. It leaked ever so slightly with the bulkheads. We tried putting another piece of acrylic and redrilled through it, but we didn't get a good seal. My husband would rather not deal with fixing anything and has decided to go all new with our big tank.
This is still usable. Just needs acrylic (we may have extra pieces) to seal it from the inside. Then re-drill in another area or just use insump pumps.
Asking $50.

Your garage? I've flooded the living rooms more times than I can count. Now I fill up in the sink, but occasionally I turn off the wrong tube (in the dark) and end up flooding the kitchen. That dripping sound is never the filters on the other fish tanks LOL. Second in line for everything but the RO unit!!!

Bulb is pending

Only thing left is the 20K Reflux Bulb...never been used, bought in October for around $80. Asking $45.

All three reflectors and the two Ice Cap Ballasts are sold. I still have the other ballast and will lower that to $20 (it's not worth quite as much as an IceCap). Also have the new Radium 20K bulb for $50. Buy the bulb and I'll throw in the ballast for free.

Thanks! He got his vaccinates done today and he's heart worm negative - woo hoo. I hear ya about too many. Luckily he's smaller than most of my dogs and doesn't eat quite as much as they do.

PM'd answered. Someone is coming out today to look at this stuff...will update afterwards. Thanks everyone!!!

This is Sam. I found him on my property 4yrs ago and brought him to the shelter. I couldn't leave him there so I took him out and found a home for him. Soon after, I started getting calls (all hours) from people finding him (his microchip is registered to me). Apparently her and her roommates left him outside unattended for long periods of time. She moved around a lot because I would get calls from all over Austin.
Long story short, the calls started up again a few weeks ago. I called her and she said she gave him to her ex boyfriend, but was thinking about taking him back. I told her to call me if she needed help with him. Last week, someone found him again, roaming the streets of East Austin. I went and picked him up myself. I've had him for over a week and I have not received one call from her saying he was lost. She KNOWS they call me when he gets out. So, I'm not giving him back to her.
I have 8 other dogs right now and just can't keep this boy. He's about 5yrs old. neutered and weighs about 45lbs...kinda on the chunky side. He resembles a large Jack Russell, but I really don't know what he is. I'll be getting his shots updated tomorrow. Sam is an awesome dog!!! He came into my home and hasn't once growled at the other dogs. He just walks away when my Rottie snaps at him...and he sleeps on the dog bed with my Pekingese. He's house and crate trained, comes when called, but will need a secure fenced yard and supervision when let outside.
I am not looking for any money, just a good, solid, stable and responsible home. I would like to visit any home that is interested in him.
Thanks!

Here are some more photos. We set the new overflow in place. Only one of the return pumps came in...they are back ordered 4-6 weeks. We have one similar and will be ordering replacement parts for it while we wait for the new one. Last night we ordered 6 of the AI modules and our Apex controller. We need 8 modules, but could only afford six right now so we could get the controller. I'll have to save up for the other two and my skimmer.
We're water testing it now and it's got a leak. It was drilled for closed loop and we plugged all the holes, but the one on the back is leaking...looks like it's the bulkhead. Going to try something different this weekend. It's exciting to see water in it, but I want to see SALT water in it.

Two Ice Cap 250W MH Ballasts - $50each
One 250W MH Ballast made by Pro Lighting, Inc - $50
3 Luminarc Mini Reflectors, Mogul (single-ended) - $50each - hubby has them in the garage so I grabbed a photo off the net. They are just like these, but are used.
If you purchase a pair (one reflector and one ballast), I will throw in one of these single ended bulbs:
Radium, 250W, 20K - used two months
Reflux, 250W, 12K - new
Coralife, 25W, 10K - used, unsure of time, but I would use it as a backup and still saw a lot of growth.
I also have one brand new Radium, 250W, 20K, single ended bulb for $50 - I paid around $80 for this one.
Prefer pick-ups.
Thanks,
Dena
Innovative Marino AOI Novo 50g Lagoon-1750 OBO
in Hardware
Posted
Before taxes this system, with everything below, cost me about $2600. Asking 1750 obo.
This is hard, but I don't have time for my smaller tank and I haven't messed with it since it crashed on me when I was sick. It's beautiful and sleek and I absolutely love it and had plans to put really nice coral in it. It is a complete system less the rock and fish. The sand will stay and I'll keep it running until it's sold...mostly because I have no other place to put it.
Pics still have the rock and two fish, but those are in my larger tank now. I can take more pics if needed. NO SCRATCHES!!!

-Ecotech Vortech MP10 - 7mths old
-Prism ATO - 17mths old
-Hammerhead Float Plus Algae Scraper - 17mths old

-Echotech Prime Reef LED Light Fixture; 60W
