  1. Thanks, Tim! That is exactly what I did. it is dirty, but not super scratched, certainly no gouges. A little novus and it would be good as new. Unfortunately, it has been a month with no bites or offers.
  2. Awesome 8' x 2' x 2' footprint. I haven't had it running in years, but it had no major scratches that couldn't be buffed out with a mild pass. It has 2 years of garage dust on it, but it would shine up like new. Sick of hearing my GF ask when I'm going to get it up and running and that it takes up too much room in the garage. My loss, your gain. No idea how much to ask, but $2500-$4000 new so $600 for one that needs some elbow grease seems fair. Make me an offer!
  3. This looks so nice! Are you making the reef rock yourself? What kind of rock is it?
  4. Yeah! I am building a new home and am building a large reef tank into the main living area. It should be nice. I am hoping to actually keep up with a build thread this time.
  5. Hey all I decided to keep this and make it into the sump for my next project. Thanks!
  6. I'm sorry Khoi! This move is killing me. I am headed there after work and will get those pictures up tonight! I am willing to wheel and deal on this thing if you are interested.
  7. I'm on vacation for a few more days, but can shortly after I get back. Wednesday for sure!
  8. ***Reduced to $1100!*** Hi All, If you are at all interested please make an offer! I am moving and need to sell my 240g long. It is a 8' x 2' x 2' tank. It is an awesome footprint for a reef tank and a real showstopper. It comes with a stand and canopy that is very well crafted with high-quality hardwood (oak?). It could be stained or painted easily to match your decore. The canopy comes with some T12s installed, which that I used to supplement LEDs. I have extra bulbs that come with it as well. It also comes with a sump that is 90g and is built into the stand. It has a nice big fuge that is around 45g so it would work for the triton method or a very nice grow out area. The tank is fully plumbed and has never had a leak. It is also plumbed for a potential closed-loop addition if you are interested, but I never went ahead with that. For an extra $250 I will throw in the Skimz a protein skinner (Link) that fits perfectly in the sump. It was originally $450 and is rated for over 500g. It works very, very well. I bought this tank without a sump, without any plumbing, and scratched to death for $1300 a couple years ago. I completely refinished it until it was perfect without a scratch. I think that selling it for the same price plumbed, not nearly as scratched, and with a sump is a pretty good deal, but I am willing to listen to offers. You can see the tank, stand, sump, skimmer, and all the crazy work I did to set this tank up in the original build thread HERE There are some scratches near the bottom of the tank from general use and sand. They will buff out easily with the Novis kit--I have a brand new one that I will give you with the tank. Lastly, I have a truck and will help you get it to your house if you need for an extra $50. It is ready to go. Treat yo' self.
  9. Do you happen to have any frags of this these days?
  10. Edit: Okay, I just plowed through the entire build thread like I should have originally to avoid too many questions. Wow, what a cool tank! I saw the random drop off the of the filefish and the cool videos in the middle as well. Hmm. That scares me a bit, because mine is a really great eater as well, and by far my favorite fish. I am going to start reading a bit more on them to make sure that I am feeding him right. The one thing that I have noticed is that he is the only fish that he almost never goes in rock work and sleeps in the open water toward the top of the tank in the back.
  11. I haven't seen very many fish in the FTSs. I was looking for the leafy filefish What are the main fish that you have in there. Sorry if you have already posted this recently.
  12. Ha! Nice start on all the corals and the urchin names are perfect. I would watch out for Stabby Ninja though... he looks like he is plotting something.
  13. The new aquascape looks nice. i completely understand your point that it is really hard to see what takes the most work, which is the network of hollow spaces on the inside of the scape. I am working through that right now and it takes a long time to get something that you are happy with. That is why I am doing one 2-foot section at a time or I would be there for 36 hours too. .
