One thing I know the apex does is control your power on consumption levels. My tank crashed bc power went out while I was away. It came back on but the start up load flipped GFCI. Apex controls fow fast the power draw come up.

Does anyone do acrylic work and want to make a deal to make some changes to my sump. I'll post a photo tonight but it's like 5" long maybe 12-15" wide and as deep. Each end has a 14x14x25ish tower of bio balls.
I'm wanting to remove bioballs and convert to ring for filter sock and add baffles in long skinny section coming out of towers. This was built for a fish only tank but not what I'm looking for with my reef.

I have a mantis in a 10 gal then I have a 110 reef. If my mantis were in my reef I'd use tge water bottle trap and ghost shrimp as bait. Fish are the only thing other than mantis that will chase them down and devour so I wouldn't worry about other inverts. Just my opinion

I've moved several tanks from San Antonio to Austin and never had a problem. Broke it all down, fish in coolers and put all tge water in 55 gallon plastic barrels and set it all back up. Knock on wood never broke anything or list a fish.

I run 2-2.5 in my 110 gallon and some times I'll notice a spot turning black and I'll point a power head that direction to change the flow up and it turn back to normal with a little time. I've transferred this sand in and out of 4 tanks now and have no issues. I've never cleaned it

Ok now I have an 80 gallon 48" wide. I'm going to dril 2x3/4 for return then for outflow. The system used to have a 1" hose out of a old giant hang on back overflow box. Would it be better to do with a smal overflow box or

No I need it for glass. I'm putting in a reeflo pump and I need a 2" bulkhead and it's like 72mm to clear and 75mm is 3". I've got one comming. I'd be willing to put it in to premium member stock once I'm done.

Yes the light I agree has to go and I don't know how to move the thread. I thought I was questioning tge tanks build so it would fit. Sorry if wrong category.

I'm looking at buying a 125g tank with stand. Is a 25 gallon sump big enough.

I'm looking for my final tank upgrade. Like a 72" with stand and matching canopy and lights and equipment. Maybe wishful thinking but don't want to break the bank either

Is 4x1" what you would do or would you do 4x3/4". Seems line tge snap lock stuff is 3/4 and most external pumps seem to be 3/4 or 1

Is there a way to test it now, could I just fill it up and check or take some rock and sand and install in a 5gal aquarium and run it tgen test

I'm buying a used tank and this will prolly be my final tank upsize. Going from 110 tank and 40 gal sump to 180 tank and 70 sump. Anyway I want to so this one nice and drill it. Should I drill the overflows only or should I drill returns too. Fishy Business says to drill 4x 1.5 in holes and PVC it to sump. Do I want to drill 4x1" holes for returns or just pipe over edge or is there some better option

I'm looking at buying a 180 gallon aquarium set up. It has all the old sand and live rock ( now dead ). I asked why they were selling and they said 4 years ago it started crashing and took about a year for everything to die. They said they had marine biologist and lots of ppl out to look at it but nothing could ever be determined as the cause. They thought maybe a sick fish but could never pinpoint the cause. I was wondering about metal in the water. Idk much about what I'm suggesting. I've heard that any metal at all will always slightly dissolve in the water and it will poison tge reef over time. This comes from Fishy Business. I have not been to see the tank yet to see if anything like that jumps out. Baisicly what I'm wondering if it's safe to revive the rock. I'm upgrade from 110 gallon so I have quite a bit of rock and would not mind not having to buy more but I defiantly don't want to inherit a tank killing problem. What do y'all think... Use the rock or no?
