I must have had bad ones, because I agree with Versace. IMO asterinas are pests. I'm almost 90% sure they are the main reason why I couldn't keep Rastas alive. I pull out every one I find.

My duster dropped it's crown several weeks ago. It finally came back out with a smaller crown a week ago. The other end of the duster that would poke out every now and then from the end opposite the crown looked just like this. A little freaky because I wasn't expecting such a muscular (for lack of a better word) monstrosity to be the maker of the nice looking crown.

Just leave it alone and hopefully it doesn't bail from its tube and has a chance to grow its afro back.

I can confirm I have a turbo that eats any zoa polyps that have issues like brown slime or get the jellied over look, but it never eats any healthy ones. I watched it clean a plug of struggling king midas zoas off a plug. It also has a taste for kaleidoscope polyps.

Agreed, I'm have a tough time with snowflake polyps, at least with GSP you can peel the mat off easily.

Just had someone tell me they look like pineapple express also.

Here is what they morph to in lower light. They get much bigger, and you can see the lines a lot better. Hard to believe they are the same.

I've been trying to get a positive ID on these for a while. So far I've heard Scarlet O'hara or Pink Flamingo.

The pic shows a frag that was kept in high light. In lower light there are hunter green lines that radiate from the center.

Any suggestions?
