if you're testing the mixture before adding it to your tank it's going to be really concentrated. You can guestimate a rough ppt reading by figuring epsom salts to water. 1/4 cup epsom to 1 cup water shoud give a Parts Per Thousand, ppt, of something like 250 I'm guessing :-D

shockingly, no. everything is opening as normal. i tested Mg over the weekend ant is was 1200 ppm. so i'm not dosing Mg.

Thanks jack. My goal is to find fish sized for a 10 gallon without harassing the boards with such an open ended thread . No tangs for me, either. I know I can get some goby species and firefish. I'll look for other options. wet web media is another place I'll check.

10 gallons? 2 little clownfish. Or a firefish and goby (with maybe a pistol shrimp?) Small tanks impress me

thanks elizzy. i have clowns in my main tank so i was going to not go with those. a firefish and goby/shrimp are possible. the 10g was my QT, but i think i want to keep it running after its QT duties are done. funnily, it has been smoother than my 40g tank it is QTing for. i cheated and have substrate, live rock, and macro in it. not a bare bones QT.

Trick-or-treaters were so sparse in our neighborhood our neighbor gave our daughter an entire bag of candy just for stopping over.

We didn't get any trick or treaters at all, I think my neighborhood is all people 80 years old and up

we had quite a few this year. i think we got back on the "good enough candy to drive over" map. if there were only 4 kids lined up it was a slow outing.
