Looking for some decent looking rock that won't break the bank. Premium rock is so pricey in Austin.

Welcome. It can be overwhelming at first, but there are many helpful people here. My first suggestion for you is to get yourself some live rock for biological filtration for your tank.
Thanks! I have done this in the past many years ago so I know about biological filtration. I have purchased bio-sand and a few pieces of base rock to get it going. A damsel is pissing in my tank as we speak... :}

I am just starting up a 29g nano reef. If anyone has anything free I would greatly appreciate it. I am doing this on a shoe string budget. I have the tank, stand, a bio wheel filter and a skimmer, but no rock or lighting yet. Looking to build a sump a little down the road.
Thanks!!

Coraline algaes would be nice. Sponges, halimedia, etc. Definately live...
I just got royally ripped off by Live Rock Ranch in Florida. I feel like a total dip$#!t. They sent me what looks like limestone with some nuisance algae on it. The pics they have on their site are amazing. I am waiting to hear back from the guy to see if he made a mistake but I think he is just a fraud. Can you tell I am pissed??
