What is the other fish in the picture with the clown?

Those candy canes are insane! They have swollen up like crazy and look amazing since I have gotten them from jake

Man this light looks great. I am working on building my light stand now, just gotta try to get a hold of a pipe bender because i'm planning to use 1/2 inch conduit. once i get it off the ghetto rig pieces of base board that is holding it over the tank I will get some pictures up. Also just got a bunch of acro, zoa and paly from a dealer on ebay last night. lets just say this tank is going to be impressive but may require another fixture.
-
That makes sense because mine looks nothing like the picture it's way more blue
-
I have a two foot fixture on my 20 gallon long with the 90 degree optic, it looks far more blue than these pictures show.
-
I have gone to topless with my nuvo cube and can say without a doubt that the evaporation has at least doubled. But it looks so much better its worth it
-
How are you mounting the fixture? I just got mine in and I'm working on mounting it with a few ideas
-
Now the only problem is I get to spend tomorrow building my DIY mounting system. Thought I wouldn't get the light in until later in the week and I would be able to wait until this weekend but now there is no way I am waiting.

Got my two foot fixture tonight, HAND DELIVERED by buildmyled.com. I was soo stoked, they went above and beyond to get it to me asap despite the issues they had with suppliers. Of course I had to get it lit up instantly and WOW. I am amazed at how great it looks over my 20 gallon long AIO set up. I'm looking to get some sps possibly for this tank so I may even add another fixture exactly the same because it looks that sweet.

I believe one of my training clients purchased this system, to say he is excited is an understatement.

beginning to become frustrated because I haven't heard anything from them about my light and it still says 'waiting shipment' when I check the site.

Haven't heard anything about my order, hoping it either comes in soon or they are working on making it even better

Question; my return is a locline fitting that screws into a 90 degree elbow joint on the other side of the partition wall, should I use silicone to make sure it's water tight or get some rubber washers or use nothing at all. The fitting fits snug into the hole with almost no wiggle room. I'm afraid of over tightening and cracking the acrylic wall. Also this thing is nearly impossible to tighten all the way, in seriously wrenching on it and afraid I'm going to break the 90, any thread lubes I can use that are reef safe?
-
Water tested the silicone job today, the front main seal held great but I had a small leak in the base of one of the sump partitions. Just added a bunch of silicone to see if I can't patch her up right. Good thing it's all covered because getting good looking silicone into those small chambers would be impossible

Lol at the renegade hole ideas love it

Got the insert siliconed in and it looks real good, lets just hope it holds water! Pictures will be up tomorrow, I took plenty. I also ordered my build my led light fixture and live sand/base rock. Everything is coming together hope to have it cycling by the weekend!!

I ordered my 24 inch fixture, can't wait to see it in action

I got my insert, top cover and rear cover in the mail today. Looks awesome. I have it clamped into the tank and have the area where the front bead of silicone will be taped off. I've left about 1/4 inch between the insert and the tape, that should be enough surface area for the silicone to hold correct? Also, for the baffles its going to be about impossible to get silicone down between the bubble trap so they will only be siliconed on one side, shouldn't be an issue right? I'm hoping to get this thing siliconed today so it can cure up and hopefully have water this upcoming weekend.
Advice on silicone technique for putting this thing in? I got a tube of GE 1, and plan on only cutting a very small tip off of it and taking it nice and slow.

What ends up being the cost of something like that? Talking about the cost of the resin/material itself to make the clamp? Is it economical at this point?
-
its a 20 gallon long all in one tank, it does not have a lid over the display portion of the tank. I'm going to go with the per-configured custom reef spectrum two foot 90 degree beam angle fixture. I'll post some pics up when its all done.
