  1. Well that does it...Mr. Helmet it is. Just kidding. I will have to put it up for vote.
  2. ... and to think I just wanted a little help naming my pretty new coral.
  3. Please see above re: LE. Again, I agree. This is a very expensive hobby. Like I said before there are expensive corals available for collectors of such things and also lesser expensive corals for people not caring about names.
  4. Beautiful world we live in. You enjoy scientific names and I can enjoy the hobby the way I choose. It is definately not worth stressing about as there are plenty of named and un-named corals out there for us all to buy.
  5. No worries Robb. I kinda like your name for the coral but I will need to speak with my attorney and see where we are in the paten process. I have and will never sell a coral as "limited edition" unless it is a Tyree coral. I also believe using the term otherwise is misleading. As far as corals simply having a name I will continue to call corals by the name they are sold to me as and on a rare occasion name one myself. When I do sell/trade this coral it will not be cheap. It was not sold as "limited edition" or with a name but it was still very expensive.
  6. I was being sarcastic when I called mine "limited edition." I guarentee my coral frag is not the only one in the ocean but I am the proud owner of it and I felt like giving it a name. I would never misrepresent this coral as Tyree but I see no reason I can't add fun to the hobby by giving it a name. If you want a frag be my guest and rename it or call it "the coral that does not have a name." IMO this coral is different because it is more beautiful than most. Mike, if you have similar corals sitting around that are "LE" quality that you want to sell cheap PLMK because I would like to buy them. I am always looking for exceptional stuff that catches the eye. I do not collect LE corals to make money. In fact I have sold only a small fraction of what I have paid. I sell so I can buy more and further enjoy the hobby. I also enjoy meeting some very cool people. Correct me if I am wrong Mike but didn't you buy a Tyree LE Meteor Shower and another LE from me a few mos. ago? A couple of my friends have been given/traded some of my nice LEs for the very same reason as Fishypets.
  7. To each their own Mike. I personally love the LE and naming of corals. I enjoy collecting corals and the naming makes it much easier for me. I like knowing what I am buying and feel this way I can buy some of the nicest stuff found in the ocean. I don't mind paying more because when I sell frags I can get more money for the corals. The good thing is you don't have to buy LE stuff because there are lots of other nice corals out there. .... and now to the fun stuff ....introducing my newly named Limited Edition Stardust Blue Watermelon Chalice. Thanks for the help with naming this beauty.
  8. Great names guys! So far I'm liking Stary Night, Milky Way, Cosmic Blast and Twilight.
  9. I absolutely love this chalice I got. I have some of the LE chalices and this is my favorite. It appears extremely similar to the "Future Tyree LE Orange Cush" for sale at World Wide Corals (see below for the comparison). I do not have lineage so I am asking for some help in giving this badboy a name...so please throw them out there. ..and now for comparison here is the Tyree Future Limited Edition Orange Cush from the WWC website. The same coral?
  10. I have decided to sell a large (approx. 5"x3") piece of the infamous "Warp Speed" Montipora Spumosa. I believe this was being sold in SA for $20 for 1"x1." I may frag this piece as well but thought I would offer the entire piece at a discount first. I am asking $85 for the piece. I am located in Austin. I will take some pics this weekend but figured I would go ahead and offer it now. This has been selling very well around the area and I think many are aware of what it looks like.
  11. I would like to offer a frag of 2 large polyps with a baby budding of Purple People Eater Palythoas. In exchange for the frag I would like to recieve a check for $85 written to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. I am hoping that others will offer frags with proceeds benefiting the charity of their choice. Hopefully we can get a few threads going with donations. Photos are available if you PM me your e-mail. Please pass the word about this idea for raising money for some good charities.
  12. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have several frags of Lunar Eclipses that I purchased directly from Atlantis Aquariums. I also have a nicely growing Purple Death Palythoa colony that I could frag. I am interested in trading for other rare Palys. I am particularly interested in Candy Apple Reds, Rose Nebulas, Red Wines, Alien Explosion, Armageddon, Dath Maul, Nightmare Palys, Pink Elephants, and Rastas. I can e-mail pics for those that are interested.
  13. I am looking for one other person in Austin interested in splitting an order of Kryptonite Candy Cane. These usually sell for $20-$30 dollars a head. I could get us each 20-25 heads for $100 (Shipping included). Please PM if interested. I will provide details.
  14. Hey Stoneroller. I PM'd you but I'm not sure if I was able to send. PLMK if you didn't recieve the message. Thanks
  15. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am interested in trading some of my primo Palys/Zoas for other types of Palys not currently in my tank. I recently broke up a nice sized frag of Lunar Eclipse Palys and have several of these I could trade. These polyps are beautiful and a nice size. I could also trade some Purple Death Palys, Armor of God Palys, Bam Bam Orange, Cherry Bombs, Radioactive Dragon Eyes and a morph of Eagle Eyes. LMK what you have for trade. I have many other types but most of them can't be safely fragged at this time. I would be willing to sell some of my Radioactive Dragon Eyes. These are a beautiful green color that will stand out in your tank. I have several hundred of these and would be willing to frag these out at a dollar per polyp (minimum of 20 polyps). Pictures of all of these Palys and Zoas may be found at Zoaid. My camera is currently out of service but I could likely post pics in a couple days if necessary. The pics at Zoaid are a very good representation of what you would get.
  16. Another PM sent. I would like to buy this frag.
