  1. Ill put in 40 on this or just take a nice size frag. Thanks, Rob email me at [email protected]
  2. Whats the best way to wash filter socks? I don't want to contaminate my tank
  3. I have been fighting it for years. At first I thought it was cool then it and aptasia over ran my tank. I had to scrub it all out. The aptasia never came back but the **** bubble algea is persitant. I have tried everything. At one point I had 10 emeralds in the tank and the stuff kept on growing. Now I just remove the bigger ones manually and live with the rest. Im currently setting up a 20 long and stuffing it with cheato to see if that will get rid of the rest. Good luck
  4. Well I have almost given it up a couple of times over the past 6 years. It does seem like a money pit sometimes kinda like my boat did. Then someone comes over to my house and I get to explain everything that is going on in my tank. While im am doing this I get to see things that I had forgotten about and it really gives me a sense of accomplishment and wonder. Surprisely it really does relax me when I come home and just look at it.
  5. I saw but at work all day. I had no way to pick up. Ive always wanted one of these.
  6. ill take one tell me when you need the paypal sent
  7. I had aptasia real bad about 1 year and half ago. Didnt really know what they were till it was way to late, nothing worked becuase there were so many 100++. They killed off all my zoos and plays. I got fustrated and negelected my tank. Cyano over ran it. So i clean the cyano off and restart the sytem after a couple of months and bang all the aptasia was dead because of the cyano. Sheer fustration cured my aptasia problem. Although the bubble algea came back. That is still an ongoing fight.

    heater

I know someone has a heater laying around they dont need. I broke mine cleaning my sump and need to replace it. So im looking for a submersiable heater i can put in the sump for about a 100 gallon system
  9. was watching tank after lights went out last night and my turbos were doing the same thing. They were all squirting white stuff into the water as high as they could be on my live rock peaks. was really neat to watch.
  10. Im having a hair and bubble algea issue. I am pretty sure its the depth of my sand bed that is the issue. I went to TMAC and heard ping speak about it. My bed is 3-4 inches. My biggest concern is the bubble alea until my 5 inch lawnmower blenny decided to jump out of the back of my tank. He kept all the hair algea gone. I pulled some of my rocks out and scrubbed the hair and bubble algea off them. I then rinsed them in the faucet real quick then dipped in RODI water and put back in the tank. The rocks i have done this to dont have any hair or bubble algea on them and the coralline is starting to grow back on them nicely. Im going with a fuge next. I really dont want to pull out any sand becuase I like the depth but when I put up the 135 in august Im only going with a 1 inch bed and a 55 gal with a DSB in it under the stand.
  11. Great to meet you! Thanks for the corals they have opened up very nice. What was that small frag of pinks called that you threw in I love them. If those green skirts perk up LMK. I would still like them.
