  1. Thank you for the rock!!!

No problem Jake and your welcome.

oh i will. i have already added another k3, a bigger skimmer, wirring in 2 more t5(8x54wt total). i will be building a fuge tomorrow (i know how to party for my bday  ) temporarily. a 20gl long to complement the 15gl sump. As soon as i have time/money i will build a 46gl acrylic sump/fuge and uncap the second overflow. I will let you know as soon as i have a webcam set up.

Kasey, sounds like a plan man. Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAN!!!

  2. Ill take the Live Rock, i waqnt to rescape my tank and then i can pass whats not used on to the next person.

    Matt

I really need some more live rock and I did not get it yet because I could not afford it please let me know if the rock is still available...i will come right away!!!

Rock already spoken for by August&Jake. Will let you guys know if he falls thru.

thank you very much for the clowns. they are both loving on each other as i type this. :)

Kasey, please take care of them.....like I said, they are almost like family to me. Remember our agreement....Keep me updated!!!

    ~Joe

  3. I hate to see these guys go. I have had them for over three years and they have survived a few tank swaps. The female is nice and large and has some cool, unusual markings on her. She is not shy by any means and will let you know when it's time to feed. The male is small, shy, and looks like any other FP. They have laid eggs, but I think the quality of the water wasn't sufficient enough to carry thru.

(I think) The tank has crashed because of my lack of attention.....I have too much going on in my life right now to have this tank so the clowns need to find a new home and I will get rid of what may be valuable to someone who may want it. They are healthy and show no signs of problems.....the tank just looks like absolute hell and I want them to have a better home.

Also, I have about 30 pounds of LR. Some of it is covered in halfway still living purple star polyps, unknown type of stretching/reaching purple mushrooms..... and green alge. Also has a little red alge on a few pieces. I can scrub most of it off if needed.

Everything above is free of charge. I just want to know that the clowns will be going to a good home as they deserve better than what I have provided.

The tank will not be for sale as I will most likely clean it up and use it for a fresh tank. However, I will have some additives and such for sale as soon as the tank is torn down.

I live in Liberty Hill and that is where everything will need to be picked up.

    Thanks,

    ~Joe

  4. Hey guys, I am looking to get out of the 14 gallon biocube and get into a 29 gallon biocube.

This tank has been setup for about 14 months. Everything works great as you can see in the pics. Everything in the tank is stock.....no modifications have been done at all. Stock lights, stock pump....even stock filters. both bulbs have been replaced about a month ago. It also comes with one new ballast just in case one goes out.

Items not included.....coral, rocks, fish, and inverts. So basically it's just a setup.

This tank has one scratch on the outer glass about mid way up on the far right side.....it's not noticeable from 2 feet away. Thats the only thing thats wrong with this tank.

Again, I am looking for a 29 gallon biocube. A trade would be nice, just gimmie a good offer and lets go from there. I also have a 29 gallon setup I am looking to get rid of as well.....same situation as above.....I just want one tank. Check out my other ad....search "29 gallon saltwater setup"

Keep in mind that both of these tanks are currently set up. I will need a little time to round up another temporary tank before this one goes. I am basically checking intrest.

If you have any questions, feel free to call. 512-748-1289

  5. Hey guys, I am looking to get out of my 29 gallon and get into a 29 biocube. If you have one to trade, lemmie know what you have. I am also open to offers as well.

    Here is what I have.

29 gallon rectangular tank with custom stand and matching custom canopy.

It has two dual power compacts (one actinic is the only one thats in it now) with ballasts. It has one metal halide 175 watt/ 12000K one ended screw in style bulb with ballast. All bulbs are one month old.

One Emperor 400 filter system with stock carbon filters.

Sump system is an overflow system as you can see in the pics. It has a CPR (Creative Plastic Research) dual pass sump system. Comes with small black and big blue bio balls. It has a custom built drip top off system I built myself. It drips in water from a gravity fed water supply on the side of the tank as you can see in the pics. It works great and has been very reliable for a long time. I don't remember the name brand of the lower pump, but it works flawlessly. It returns thru a custom pvc pipe that distributes even flow thruout the tank.

The canopy has one built in fan to pull the heat out from the halide. The top of the canopy will flip open if needed.

This tank has one scratch on the inner glass mid way up on the far front left side.

Things not included......coral, fish, inverts, water, rocks, heater, timers and UV sterilizer. Basically it's just the setup.

Again, I am looking for a 29 gallon biocube. A trade would be nice, just gimmie a good offer and lets go from there. I also have a 14 gallon biocube I am looking to get rid of as well.....same situation as above.....I just want one tank. Check out my other ad....search "14 gallon biocube"

Keep in mind that both of these tanks are currently set up. I will need a little time to round up another temporary tank before this one goes. I am basically checking intrest.

  6. Hey guys, I have a 12 gal biocube that is about halfway full of colt coral. I desperately need to get rid of it because it's shadowing all of my other stuff. If it's not gone within a week or so, it will become fertilizer for the front lawn.

You must pick it up and frag here. Frag a little or all of it. I prefer most, but not all because my clowns love it. Either way, come get it. If you want to get rid of somthing else, I'll trade......softies only. It needs to be small tho.

    Lemmie know,

    Thanks,

    Joe 512-748-1289

Oh, I'll get pictures if you are really interested.

  7. Hey guys, this Colt is simply getting out of hand in my 14 gallon biocube. It's now nearly reaching out of the water :o

MY two percs are lovin' it, but it's taking up way too much space. I honestly dont know what to ask for it, so why don't you make me an offer.

    Thanks for your time,

    Joe

  8. Don't really know exactly what to ask for it, but it's getting out of control. I have two tanks that need a few handfulls to be fragged.

Make an offer when you get here, I guess it all depends on how much you want.

    Thanks,

    Joe

  9. RIVER CITY AQUARIUMS or Kingfish! We to have denounced certain stores for being jerks and unhelpful. There are too many other good places to go and people to talk to here in Austin to put up with lousy service. The store should be concerned you didn't bring in a water test and your buying lots of new livestock. BTW I think I know where you are talking about and please watch out for aptasia and cyano.

I have never been to Kingsfish, but RCA has top notch service and will perform water test for me without any hassle. All the people there are really cool and very helpfull. Plus, they have RO water that I can trust! :D

The store should be concerned you didn't bring in a water test and your buying lots of new livestock.

I agree. I recently bought $500 worth of Oceanic merchandise from him. He should be treating me with some sort of respect. The water sample thing should be a given, being me starting a new tank and all.

    Thanks again.

  10. Hey guys/gals, I was just wondering about a specific person at a specific pet store. [information redacted] I was wanting a few suggestions.

The guy we normally deal with is a real jerk......9 times out of 10. I ask a simple question and the guy is awnsers my question with a question like I am supposed to know the awnser. (I am relatively new to SW aquariums ....... about a year into it) Then he gets an attitude with me when I ask my original question again. This is not the only issue with the guy. He thinks he knows everything in the book about saltwater tanks. Don't get me wrong, I have seen the guys tank at home and it's gorgeous. The guy is just plain out snotty, honory, and is always a freakin' jerk. The last time this happened, I had my wife stop in and get a KH test kit and ask him to do a simple water test. He was raising h*** about why I was wanting a water test done if I do my own tests at home. Well......duhh......I'm buying a test kit right???? I just wanted him to test it to make sure my test kits were not off by chance. Geeeeeeessssseeee!!!!

Here is my question.....should I tell upper management about this, or should I just not do business there at all? I know I can go right down the street a little farther and get superb service without the attitude and not feel like I have been taken advantage of when I walk out the door......regardless if I spend any money there.

    ***Rant Over***

    Thanks for reading my rant.

  11. Hey guys, I have some branching Frogspawn I need to get rid of. This is a pretty nice peice here with about 6 heads if I am counting correctly. It's kinda hard to count with it all opened up. I am just needing it gone because I really dont have the room for it. I don't want just a peice of it gone, I want it all gone.

If I were to trade, it would be for some cool Ricordia or a bunch of Zoos.

Shoot me a PM offer and lets go from there.

    Thanks,

    Joe 512-748-1289

BTW.....I live in Liberty Hill....just North-West of Leander off of HWY 29.

PM or E-mail me for pictures, I can't seem to attach pix to this post. Thanks. [email protected]

  12. Hey bud, gimmie a shout, I am in Liberty Hill, just north of Leander. I have some green FS I need to frag out. 20 bones for a currently splitting head.
