beautiful tank. i'm glad to hear it went well. i did this with my 200gal about a month ago and about 30mins of my fish being in buckets i started having big problems. needless to say i lost 4 fish before i even got them to the new house. after i put them in a holding tank (my 100gal) i lost all but the eels by morning. so now im taking a little longer to set it all back up. i really wish i knew what happened. i hope all goes better for you.

I dont think im going to cut off his barb. He seems to be pretty docile. I've only had him for a few days so far but he has been eating good. He did finally figure out that the eel can't get to him so he's relaxed a little. I cant wait to get the 200gal back up and running again.

Oh and yes i got him from rca. They said that they've been hand feeding him so i figured my hubby would like him. Since we we just lost more than half of our tank population. We were able to save a the bigger guys in the tank.

That makes since, he does have a 3ft tesslattis eel looking at him through the glass.

I got a stingray today. He's been doing ok but now he seems to be swimming around with his tail up higher than his head. Is this normal?

are you willing to part out the fish? what all do you have? i have an empty 200gal at the moment so i would be able to offer them a good home.

I need live rock cheap. I have a very upset Tesla eel. He went from a 34gal cube with lots of good hiding places but he needed a bigger tank so I moved him to a 100gal tank with only one really big cave and he is protesting (not eating).

They are all over my tank but really don't seem to bother the corals or fish. Thats the bigger one, it has about 4 mouths on it.

Does anybody know what type of sponge this is or if it is good or bad for my tank?

Thanks for the advice, everyone. It's nice to know, the garlic thing should help. I was scared to put anything in the tank. Hardly anything seems to be safe for inverts. I have 2 anenomes that have become 5. I really didn't want to mess them up.

I just got a new bio cube and set it up with sand rock and water from my established tank (to cut back on cycling time). All of my fish have been acting and eating fine,but I've noticed a few specals on a couple of fish. They seem to come and go as the day passes. I do have hosting anemones, crabs, snails, etc. How shold I. Treat them and with what?

its beat up pretty bad. its stable as far as handling the weight. but its ugly.
