Anybody know anything about this stuff? It's pricey but I'm at my wit's end with the green hair algae. Tried more snails but that didn't seem to do much.

Anybody know where I can get this locally? or want to split a bottle with me if I do decide to order it? I have a 12G nano so I don't think I'd need much.

Welcome! My Dad and I used to keep dwarf seahorses in the early 1970's. We kept them in a big goldfish bowl with an undergravel filter and raised our own brine shrimp to feed them.

New to ARC but not to aquariums. I'm 49 now and have been keeping aquariums since I was 4 years old. Currently I have 3 aquariums: SW, FW and brackish for the best of all 3 worlds. SW tank is a 12G nano reef with zoas, mushrooms, xenia, a yellowtail damsel and a cleaner shrimp. Nano has been up and running for almost 7 years now. It was jampacked with soft corals until recently -- then came the attack of the dreaded green hair algae! It is finally back under control now but over the course of that plague I lost most of my purple mushroom corals. I also have a 3G brackish tank with a figure 8 puffer and a 65G FW planted community tank.

Do you still need this? I've got an Aquaclear 70 with filter media -- practically brand new, still in box. Asking $20 -- see my post on the Want to Sell Hardware forum and let me know if you're interested.
