  1. I think I've got plenty of zoas, not really interested in mushrooms, maybe some SPS? I've got metal halides and ice cap t-5's so I think I can keep pretty much anything. What did you have in mind?
  2. From my Port A trip I collected several cool items. Looking to trade these for corals and or other interesting things. Lots of peppermint shrimp, a dozen mangrove seeds, one molly miller, and one very small goby. http://www.maast.org/forums/picture.php?al...p;pictureid=429 http://www.maast.org/forums/picture.php?al...p;pictureid=427
  3. is the second set a reef package as well 5 for $50?
  4. I just replaced my pc's with a t5 retro kit from reefgeeks. I didn't have name brand PC's to begin with and was never happy with the color or my coral growth. The retro kit had all the top brands pieces, ice cap reflector, vossloh ballast, UVL actinic bulbs... Truly amazing in the difference. It's only been running a few days now, but I've already seen a significant increase of coral growth on my birdsnest coral! I definitely recommend the t5's!
  5. If you decide to make your own rock, DO NOT USE ROCK SALT or any kind of salt at all. Evenutally it will cause your homemade rock to break up and crumble.
  6. All gone. I will have more in a few months.
  7. Thanks for the offers everyone. Looks like I am staying one more month, but I will still need the containers! Please pm me your number and I will give you a holler in the next few weeks.

  9. I have been experimenting with home made live rock and have a bunch of, well, it’s basically base rock. It’s been curing in a saltwater bath for about 3 months and will not cause a ph spike. There is some algae growing on it any maybe some other microbiological life. I think there maybe even some coralline starting to grow. Most of the rocks have a purple tint to them. You can also see my other homemade rock in my tank that is just banging with purple and red coralline. I have to get rid of the stuff before I move in 25 days. Michael
  10. Hey all. I have the joyous task of moving at the end of the month and would like to borrow four 5 gallon containers, the kind that you use when getting your ro water. Can anyone help out with that and possibly the move? I will be moving Thanksgiving weekend. Just think, you can tell the family that you have to help a guy move and then after helping me for 30 minutes you can run off to the sports bar and watch football for the rest of the day. See, I’m here for you. Michael
  11. how much for the coral beauty? And how big is he?

  13. Yeah, it's poo, commonly known as detritus.
  14. Joesph, thanks for the new corals! Will buy from you again soon.
  15. A Peninsula tank would be bad a$$ but I don't know how much room future residental places will allow. An external is what I am leaning with. I've seen some internal cali-flo types and like that but never an external. An internal kinda defeats the purpose of a sump. Go any good threads for me to look at?
  16. I might hit you up this weekend. Will you be around?
  17. I move at the end of July and while I had my tank broke down for moving I am wanting to drill it for a sump, which I will have made at a later date. So, I am looking for advice and help on placement, drilling, and sump incorporation. I have a 60 gallon Jebo acrylic tank. I think the acrylic thickness is 1/2".
  18. Here are several pictures of my DIY Rock. It's a 30 lb rock. Before. Before. The 30 lb beast! In place. In place.
  19. This post is like a striper on a brass pole, pretty to look at but frustrating as hell!
  20. I've had my Catfish Lighting MH 250 watt 36" light for about three months now with out any problems. My only complaint is that the MH bulb is a little yellow for my tastes. I'll be upgrading the bulb in a few months so that's really minor. Also, it uses a newer electronic ballast, not like the emfamous ballasts from the old Odessy's. Michael
  21. Found a pot that is wide enough to fit the rock in. Still interested in finding out more about the autocleave thing.
