Did you end up selling the light?
-
i think they also make a 36x36x(18,20,24) wich would also be cool tanks.
-
Kim,
How big are you wanting to go?
I know you are wanting a corner, but you could also do a cube and put it in a corner. either a 24x24x24 or a 36x36x36 would be a really cool tank.
Also i highly reccomend using mostly dry rock (and aquacaping it very agressivly, as i know you can do).
But thats just my two cents
-
very nice tank, love the scape
-
inal live stock additions (if i can find them):
yellow wrasse (not sure as it may fight with my fairy)
or
Sailfin blenny, pike blenny, midas blenny (may get too big), canary blenny
&
Gumdrop coral croucher (if i can find one)

Shows how light is attached

thanks brooks, i have been trying to stabalize everything and make it med school proof. plus i think getting rid of my old rock helped alot, and my new rock scape allows for alot more flow and less dead spots. also more frequent water changes.
-
zip ties, 2 part epoxy, and i got rid of most of my old rock and started with new dry rock. made the structure dry, removed all of my old rock, removed my coral from it, and then glued them to the new rock. i left some of my old rock in the tank (rock at top) and put some in my sump.

Also, how hard does your skimmer work already? you could try carbon dosing for a little while to see if it causing any problems. Or get a more powerful skimmer
-
I do, and i like it. The only thing i have noticed is that reds are not as expressed as they were under my MH's. i have had great growth out of both my lps and sps. I feel that if AI included acouple of neutral whites or warm whites in the mix it may help bring out the red colors (or put red in the mix like Ecotech did)
-
how big is the lobo, is it attached to the rock?
-
Kim, you might want to try Vodka/sugar dosing or biopellets to get rid of the algae. i see alot of NPS tanks that are using some type of carbon dosing and a powerful skimmer to keep nutrients down
-
could i get a frag of the firefly tmro in the AM? im driving back to houston around 11 tmro, might be able to pick it up tonight as well depending on your location (im staying at a friends off slaughter right now)
-
Used bubble magus NAC6A. Have had it for about a year.
Works great, but is too big for my 34 gallon (recently downsized), so i need to get rid of it.
$130 takes it.
-
gone/ sitting in the tank in my back yard, so it probably wont be alive long
-
like the aqua scape
-
i move to houston on saturday
-
he ate another ghost shrimp tonight, luckily in Houston they sell live marine feeder shrimp
