  1. I have all the critters and corals in other tanks. I drained almost all of the water, just some substrate and a little water left. I don't have the energy left to mess with it. I hope I reduce the pressure on the leak enough that it will hold until later this morning...

  2. It is midnight and I made a final check of the house and discovered a small leak in the bottom left corner of my 90g tank. I added some silicone to the outside, hopefully that will slow it down until in the morning. From there I sent Sea Clearly to see what they can do.

How long does it take a trickle to turn into a flood? I guess I'll have my answer in the morning  We just added a tunze nano wave maker about a month ago, coincidence?

Suggestions? I know I have to break the tank down and reseal, or replace it. This sucks because we finally got everything where we wanted it.

  3. Thanks all for the input. I think we'll be treating the Tang in a hospital tank with Methylene Blue and freshwater dips. Going conservative at first because Tangs are sensitive to copper. I hope that gets him back on his feet.

Here's hopin' you don't got ich-

  4. Our Powder Brown Tang broke out with ich today. We've had ich in our freshwater tank before but not in the saltwater.

In the fresh tank, we used Ich Attack with success.

Has anyone got experience with Ich Attack in reef tanks? The manufacturer says it's fine but I'd like some real world

reference. Any other suggestions for treatment also appreciated.

    Thanks,

  5. Planning on being there, my oldest son may tag along as well. Depends on what his social calender looks like. :)

Don't have exciting frags since my tank is just a baby (7 months this month, my how time flies) but I have a couple Fl. fighting conchs! Weird creatures that they are.... Anybody want a conch? I posted them over in the trade/free section too, don't want to drag the poor guys to the meeting if no one wants them. They are happy in my old fuge in quarantine. One lucky weirdo will get to live in the tank, the other two could go live with someone else!

We'll take one of the conchs if still available.

  7. I don't know about the rest of you, but I have always had too many power cables. Every time I did some tank maintenance I ended up having to unplug the return pump, skimmer, auto-top off, etc.. None of them have power switches! I found a cool device, it is the American DJ On/Off power center. It is basically a 1U power strip that has the plugs on the back and a switch for each plug on the front. You can get them at Guitar Center for $29.99. We bought the last two this weekend. Who would have thought about going to the music store for aquarium supplies. I think I have entered a new realm of aquarium keeping.

Now if I could find a nice looking 4 or 5U rack to hold them in.
