  1. Not looking to sell it alone, I'd have too many powerheads and heaters without a use then (I already sort of do).

Well the truck would have been packed today, but Budget sucks - they massively overbooked the location I was trying to pickup from, they had no idea despite that the people actually on premises had known for a while, and they hadn't fixed the close to a dozen trucks the place had in their lot... some there for more than a month...... Yeah so all in all, I don't have a truck at the moment and apparently this time is basically the busiest time of year, so the earliest I can find one is for monday. I will try again to get one on sunday, but if I can't then these can be up for sale another day. Both are cleaned out and ready to go.

  2. I've got these 8 corals as well as a lattice cardinal and a green banded goby, if you can house all of them they are yours for free. I need to take down my tank this afternoon and this is what's left after the sale.

Pickup would be best before 1pm, otherwise we'd have to work something out before 6.

  3. Who knows when I'll have a moving truck, but if you want it before then the parts are clean and ready to go.

    24 gallon JBJ Nano Cube - $150

    Comes with:

    Tank with no hood

    Stand with cabinet

    MaxiJet 900 return pump

    Modular Surface Skimmer attachment

    JBJ Nano Glo refugium light

To complete the tank you would need lights, a skimmer, a heater, and an ATO system.

    5G Quarantine tank - $20

    5G AGA style tank

    Glass lid

    50W Marineland Stealth heater

    Rio 400 powerhead

  4. I'd never put metal in the tank (knowingly)... :) Thanks !

Well I wouldn't go that far. I recently used a stainless steel screwdriver in mine... just had to wash it with soap and water then rinse a bunch of times to be sure any grease was off, then really make sure it's stainless. The thing with pliers is that there's lubricant where the two halves meet that won't come off with a simple wash... and if it does come off the pliers will seize up.

  5. I would stay away from pliers, the oil used to lubricate them can't be cleaned off before you put it in the tank and will come off in the tank at least a little. to get mine off I've used a screwdriver on a few bits that have a suitable space to pry, otherwise remove it from the aquarium and use a hammer.

If you just leave it be, it may take a while but things will grow over it and you can use the old plugs as places to put new ones, so it will eventually be covered up.

  6. Reduced the size of the first post, lowered some prices, everything is listed. I can hold the fish in the 5G now (rock is in a bucket with circulation and heat) so if you give me a little warning I can catch what you want and keep it there. This stuff needs to be gone by friday.

If you've got an under-tank sump/refugium and are looking to trade let me know what you have, I'm in the market for one.

  7. Updated stock to include the rock from the main tank.

    Here's the deal:

I need this stuff gone before friday, graduation is done, and I've got the whole week to pack. That means virtually any time you can pick it up is fine with me starting sunday the 22nd at noon. I will also be selling the tank and stand (with modular surface skimmer - not the tunze -, MJ900(1200?) return pump, and JBJ Nano Glo Fuge light). Let's start it at $180, but I can't sell it until all or almost all of the stuff is out. If you are interested in simply buying the tank and whatever's left, say so and we can work something out.

  8. I'm around until 6:30 tonight, then starting sunday at noon I can be available at almost any time (my week for packing and such).

Also updated stock, soon the fish and rock will go up, but I need to get a little more open space before the fish can go.... as I want them to be caught and in holding before I sell to be sure you can actually pick them up when you come...

  9. Well I can say bye in the same thread I said hello in. I am by no means getting out of reefing, but my Master's degree is over and I'm off to Kansas City, Missouri to continue my training and get paid for it (awesome).

Gone through a lot of stuff, kept a lot of critters - it's just as fascinating now as it was then. I can't wait to get a new setup going in KC.... and I have plans for a Haddoni anemone species tank.

Thanks to you ARC members and the local shops which supported my adventures. By the looks of it KC doesn't have the same size community or saltwater vendors - you will be missed.

  10. The rock its on is a sort of triangular wedge thing (3 sided pyramid?) that's almost 8 inches long (tall dimension of the pyramid) and is 7" tall and 5" wide at the widest part. It's also got a small frag of the other pocillopora near where the season's greetings monti currently resides. I don't mind selling the whole rock, but it's sort of balancing the top rock now, so I'd still like to hold off on it until more things are out of the sandbed, as the aquascape may go down with it.

  11. Noted, by the amount of interest that may not be too long now. That frag was originally on a plug and epoxied into place, do you think it's worth it to break that part of it off and just leave the remainder? If that was the case I'd be able to get it up for sale sooner, but some of the coral would undoubtedly be on the rock after the removal (its been encrusted for some time). Otherwise I'd be looking at breaking up the piece of rock, and it's in none to convenient of a place to make that happen.

Another update to stock and the new PMs should have replies as well.
