mhart032
I bought 2 maxspect gyre 250s from another reefer, i have roughly 330.00 in both of them, i was looking at the Icecap apex modules. is this a worthy upgrade? i do love connecting things to the apex but seems a little messy with the gyres. any advice? jolt
I use the icecaps and they work fine. The programming takes a little effort but its not too bad at all. There's a nice video from CoralVue on how to set up profiles and use them with the icecap, and I just followed that. I prefer this approach over the older gyre controllers, but I've heard the newer gyre controllers are pretty nice (I have not tried them)
victoly
if you have an apex, there is a way to control them with an icv6 module and cut out the gyre controller completely if you're into that.
mhart032
I am into that for sure. Do you have any info on that? I've read several post where the Apex wasn't ready yet. But I'd love to do that.

Good Greef
I also use 2 xf250s with icecap and apex and it works great. Like Jim said, takes a little programming but there's enough templates out there.
