FarmerTy Posted February 8, 2018 Share Posted February 8, 2018 I'd recommend maybe the Ocean Revive fixture or maybe the Mars Aqua one. There's enough power to keep any type of corals you desire. With the Orbit one, you'll mainly be able to keep low light only corals which might limit your tank depending on what you want to keep. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bpb Posted February 8, 2018 Share Posted February 8, 2018 Those lights seem to come up often among new hobbyists that haven’t quite delved deep into online shopping. And that is ok! Kudos to you for consulting on the forum before making a big important purchase. I’ll echo the others. With those lights you’re paying just as much as you would for something MUCH more powerful. You will also be setting your ceiling really low on what you can reasonably GROW under them. And I emphasize grow. They may be able to sustain life on many corals but you’ll want something with a bit more horsepower if you hope to get measurable growth out of anything besides the absolute lowest of low light corals.
