ReefMedic68W
I am in the market for a LARGE tank. I would prefer a 240 gallon or larger. I do prefer tanks WITHOUT corner overflows or any overflow box that goes from the top of the tank to the bottom. I much prefer holes drilled near the top of the tank for longer (rather than taller) overflows. I do not like corner overflows or other top to bottoms ones because it limits your side view of the tank. You also can't always see what's going on in the very back. With just a surface skimming overflow... you eliminate this problem and get all of the same results. I know the other overflows also "pull water from the bottom of the tank" but you can do this with a surface skimming overflow as well so long as you have adequate flow! Obviously would like something scratch free and also with a stand. This will likely be a fish only as I have no one to care for a reef while I'm away.
