I did nothing special, aside from add reflective/bubble insulation to the garage door. The temp inside vs temp in garage seem to balance ther overall water temp most of the year... cool inside in the summer, warm in garage. opposite in winter. I dont have the sump inside an insulated area or anything in the garage, but i do have it slightly covered to try and avoid stuff getting in it. basicly, make sure you have a heater and chiller just in case you need to control the swings of texas weather in your garage.
