Do I need to insulate or somehow control the climate in my garage if I want to use it as my fish room?

The time has come to move the tanks to a more manageable place like the garage..what considerations do I need to make considering I am only keeping fresh water tropical tanks ATM and my show tanks will be inside so it will be mostly breeding quarantine hospital and some species tanks

I have my sump in the garage with display tank inside.  I did nothing special, aside from add reflective/bubble insulation to the garage door.   The temp inside vs temp in garage seem to balance ther overall water temp most of the year... cool inside in the summer, warm in garage.  opposite in winter.  I dont have the sump inside an insulated area or anything in the garage, but i do have it slightly covered to try and avoid stuff getting in it.   basicly, make sure you have a heater and chiller just in case you need to control the swings of texas weather in your garage.
