Hey guys my name is Luis. I live in lubbock but im originally from austin. I started reefing while in lubbock but go to austin quite regularly. I wanted to say hi, i normally buy fish and coral from austin for myself to bring to lubbock. I want to meet new people and would like to trade frags and equipment. I mainly wanted to introduce myself and say hi.

Pretty good. I should have probably mentioned more. I currently have a redsea reefer 250 set up last month a 40breeder for my anglers and a 20L i use as frag tank with several acans.

Also, that's a REALLY long drive for fishies and tank critters*. I used to have Lubbock in my territory and would make that drive once a month or so. Nothing like driving 6 hours to be greeted by a sandstorm!

*I'll assume that's not the sole reason for your trip, but still...

Welcome aboard!

Your tank, and acans look great!

.... Nothing like driving 6 hours to be greeted by a sandstorm!

ehmm...and snow storms? I had fun roadtrip in January.
Yeah. Pretty big sandstorm here and there. That December snow was horrible. There was no way to make out of the house for 3 days.

No. All my family lives in austin so i go visit every other month and while there buy most of my fish and corals there. Mainly from the aquadome and just reefs since i stay in south austin.

The reef hobby here is very small with a few from home sellers that rip people off and one lfs that hikes everything up at least 50 percent. Ive been doing pretty good frowing acans and raising maxi minis for a while and wanted to see if there was an interest if i brought the stuff i grow and frag to austin when i come and visit. Im not looking to make profit but just enough to keep my hobby going. Ive started to enjoy the process of growing corals more than just having a fisplay tank. Im also open to trades.

I think you'll find people to trade with in Austin. You'll need to be a premium member to use the classifides, but the ride isn't bad if you put the animals in a cooler. You could also plan your trip around our meeting times to make things easier.
