Ripped ricordea

so I got a lovely blue ricordea from Sasha D. yesterday and I woke up to find it had ripped in the night. I am pretty sure it ripped because it was actually attached to two little pieces of rubble and one slid loose in the middle of the night. I have since moved it to the sand to let it be but my question is would this be a candidate for cutting the torn piece off and seeing if I could grow it out or just leave it be to heal?

I think any of those would work. The ricordea should survive just fine with any of those scenarios.

Which would you personally do?

Alright I am going to take a look at it and see if I can get a piece of the mouth if I can't I will just clip of the torn part to make sure I don't have this problem again.

Thanks for the info.

So the Ricordea looks like it might be doing a pretty good job of putting itself back together so I think I am going to let it be and see what happened, I can always split it later if it does not show any improvement.

The rip was where you can see the foot holding onto the flat piece of rock.

As you can see though it has done a great job pulling itself back together.
