Neon Reefer Posted May 20, 2015 Share Posted May 20, 2015 If you want best performance then go with an HOB hang on back skimmer and there is a plethora of them out there that are quality skimmers from Aquamax, Eshopps, Reef Octopus etc... There are some pretty good nano skimmers from Hydor and Eshopps to fit in the back of tank, but they will never skim as well as an HOB Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't like having anything that holds water outside of the tank like external pumps or reactors. That is just personal preference like many other things in the hobby.
