C4 is a marine aquarium conference based deep in the heart of Texas and hosted by the Austin Reef Club. Topics span marine animal husbandry to zoology, with enough equipment and current topic highlights to satisfy even the most serious reef junkie! mFrame Posted April 17, 2015 Author Share Posted April 17, 2015 To answer a few unasked questions, this year's C4 will be a little different than the last two. We'll still have the speakers and doorprizes you've come to expect, but based on prior years' feedback the format will be a little different than before. Originally C4 was intended to be a grand frag swap. We found, however, that attendees were hesitant to bring and setup frag tanks because they didn't want to miss out on the lectures. Similarly, our exhibitors also wanted a way to participate there, so we've changed conference layout. Instead of having a separate lecture room and exhibtor room everything will now take place in the same large room. The speakers and seating will be at the front, with Exhibtor/Frag Swap and Prize tables at the rear. No more rushing out to catch a lecture, you'll be able to see and hear it all as you browse the great selection of aquarium critters. Additionally, you'll notice that admission is FREE. In our continued effort to promote educating people about the hobby we've decided to open our doors to everyone. We do still charge for Exhibitor space (we have to cover the event expenses), but ARC Premium Members are welcome to setup a 30g or less frag tank for free and sell/swap at the show. We also welcome our affiliate clubs and sellers. As mentioned, admission is free to everyone. Individuals may purchase an ARC Premium membership or may rent by the half or full table. Businesses should check into the Exhibitor and Sponsor sections for rates. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, we're looking forward to having a great event! Sorry, part of the delay in the announcement has been getting the website changes ready. I'll try to get the RSVP fixed ASAP so that all you VIPS don't get PISD. No, as mentioned there are still some changes coming to the website, new banner image will be up with that info soon. ARC members are the first to see it. mFrame Posted May 14, 2015 Author Share Posted May 14, 2015 Attention to everyone planning to bring a frag tank to trade and sell frags: I've added some options to the RSVP registration where you can put in your ARC user name and answer whether or not you are bringing a frag tank. If you are not bringing a tank and you've already registered THERE IS NO NEED TO RSVP AGAIN. If you already RSVP'd and you plan to bring a frag tank, please complete the RSVP again indicating that you are bringing a tank and how many people are in your part. Thanks!
