Top trim

I have a cube it's I believe 18"x18", and I'm looking for material to give it a trim on top since it's rimless but it has chips on the top, I'm looking for something that's no bigger than half an inch and with a "C" clamp profile, kinda of what the plastic slide bar for reports look like, but of course those are only standard size, so it's missing about 6".

Any ideas?

I'd suggest using some U channel, all you need to know is the glass thickness and edge length. Measure, cut, and press on. No need for silicone or glue.

Here's an example of the stuff I'm talking about, you can likely find something similar in a hardware or automotive store.

Yeah U channel could work. I used the plastic trim because it was on the cheaper end and wouldn't want to add any more weight to the tank itself. I used my trim for decoration purposes only. If you were worried about extra support U channel probably would be a better choice.

The edging I acquired actually came from a garage sell. I know SEARS parts store has it,possibly Lowes or Home Depot. I'll see if I can get a part number off the edging I have when I get home.
