What do you guys think about this thing on a 20g long and keeping corals (maaaaaaaaaaaybe) clams under this thing. I've never done LED so I'm a little curious.

The one you have there is a double bright, it is NOT for reef tanks. It for fish only, I would not try to grow anything under it. You want the reef bright if you are interested in hosting any corals.

This light is known to be a very soft light, ok for low light corals. Some SPS might be ok, as they are not all high light, and same with clams. It's hard to say how they would do, but I would equate them to about 1.5 T5 bulbs based on the reviews I've read about them. Several reviews on the light on the marineland site or google it.

negative. those lights and not good quality, the par is way off from advertised it suitable for softies and freshwater tanks. If you want to keep clams and sps and are dead set on leds then you have to go canons, i looked into leds when i built my new setup and was surprised at what i found and what was cost effective in the leds.
