This is the wifey who wants to know if Puffers will peck at all coral or just the hard stuff. Jason already wants a bigger tank and I really want a puffer. I read if you feed them well they won't mess with it too much. Can I add coral that they like so they will mess with that and leave the other coral alone? Or am I just doomed all together? Maxi mini anemone color change?

I am the owner of a new Maxi mini carpet anemone. I have been really intrigued by them lately.

My question is....

Can they change colors? In the tank at the store, it was about 4.5'' diameter and had brilliant greens mixed with different shades of orange and yellow. Now that it has been in my tank, it seems to be just green. No other colors besides the mouth and foot area. It's also still kind of closed up like it is getting used to the new home.

But then I started thinking. I walked away when I pointed out which maxi mini I wanted and when she went in to grab it. So now part of my mind is thinking she grabbed the wrong one. But then the other side of my brain is telling me that it is just a color change because of the new tank. Plus, the other minis in the tank were all the standard or more common colored, red mixed with dull green.

I tried looking it up, but wasn't able to find much on the subject. So, anyone here knowledgeable on maxi minis? I really hope she grabbed the right one. I'm pretty sure she did. It's just got me thinking. You all know how that can be.

The wife and I are considering getting a tank with a 60"x30" footprint and 25" tall. She will only use LED, what LED fixtures would you recommend? Needs to light for coral

and I like the ones that do cloud cover or storms just not the price so what do you think?

WTB 40g - 60g rimless cube

I'm looking for a rimless cube in the range of 40g to 60g, must be drilled with overflow and prefer low iron glass on the viewing panes.

Would like a stand with it, but no big deal. I'm looking new or used, open to complete systems or just the tank.

I really like the look of the Cad Lights 50g Artisan, but I don't want to buy a bunch of things that I'm going to have to replace right away. They won't sell me just the tank, stand, and sump.

Lifting a tank

I have a stupid problem. My biocube 29 and stand are sitting on a rug that my wife has decided to replace. I need to figure out a way to lift the biocube/stand a few inches to remove the current rug and then slide the new one into position. I can destroy the current rug but not the new one. Any thoughts?
