I have a few different size bits you are more than welcome to use. I am not sure right off hand what size they are but PM me if you want and I will look and see what I have.

I can but it is usually ends up pretty far down on my list of things to do. Like Bio3 and ckyuv said it's actually pretty easy for anyone who has a cordless drill

I've drilled a few tanks without any problems. What size bit did you need?

  2. maybe it wants you to take an existential journey into self-awareness and observation....or it is broken
  3. Does anyone have a conduit bender I can borrow?

I am going to try with 1/2...although I am slightly afraid it is a bit too small

  4. sounds great, but at the risk of another dumb question...are there plastic ones or do you not have to worry about rust because they are high enough out of the water and don't get splashed? I use standard powdercoated black metal ones, I don't have a ton of sump splash so I am not worried about it...if you are worried...dip them in plastidip first
  5. Binder clips for sump cable management (clip them to the rim...and flip the arms toward the inside...run the cables up through the loop)
  6. Tank is back up and running!! now if I can just get it under 60Db :(

Reef Octopus make nice mufflers, call them direct to order.

  7. My tank has been "down" for 4 days now due to a cracked sump...*sigh* luckily I have my wavebox and mp40...and some phosphate sponge

is the sump glass or acrylic?

    3. Capt. Obvious

      Capt. Obvious

Was glass...is glass shards. If it was acrylic I would have just fixed it with weld on

****,that sucks. Sorry to hear that bro.

  8. yeah.. you'll want to rinse that with fresh water or alcohol to get the salt out before drying it out with rice. it was RO water... no salt...but valid point
  9. another handy tip: After knocking my Tunze wave controller into a half-filled bucked while still plugged in, it started to freak out (leds flickering, not remaining on etc) I took out all the screws, shook out all the water I could and still the problems persisted. repeated and placed it in a ziplock bag with dry rice and sealed it up. Left it overnight and works perfectly this morning! (the rice absorbs the moisture in the bag) Generally I would recommend 24-72 hours just to be sure
  10. The "rice trick" does work on wet electronics...saved a Tunze wave controller last night

Glad it worked, that would have sucked

I tried it on a phone b4, but no luck on my end.

  11. Maybe algaebox-ception (algaebox inside another slightly bigger box) creating a buffered grow-zone. Like how zoos have not know a fence between you and the bear, but also a moat.
  12. Does anyone have a 1.75" glass hole saw?
