  1. If any of you have a pump laying around taking up space, please let me know. Thanks, -Travis
  2. I have this burning urge to buy something... but The IRS successfully extinguished the burning hole that was in my pocket, otherwise I would love to. Shane, over at FishyBusiness, told me that there are a few folks trying to get a group buy together for a Reef Controller system. That looks like the next item on my agenda! -t
  3. If any fall through, put me down for the left overs. -t
  4. Wow!! Do you have to scoop the water out with a spoon to use it? I did a few quick google searches and there seems to be a place where that type of water condition is valuable... Ever thought of becoming a "Hemp Farmer"? As far as a way to lower it, if you are on City Water, I might actually call the water company and see what they have to say about it? -t
  5. I don't know if you are like me, but when I'm gone for any length of time, I will continually have thoughts of the system overflowing, catching fire, running out of water, you name it, it would cross my mind until I get back. To help rid myself of this, I set up a small web-cam (cheap, no need for craziness here) just to see how things are going. And in the event something did go wrong, I had a friend with a key that could drop by. The reality of the fact is that it still has MANY hours of possible bad things going on, but no more so than while I"m at the office. It just let's me acclimate to the fear. Depending on your tech savvy, you can go an initially cheaper route and leave a computer on with a remote desktop connection available (if it's a modern laptop, chances are it's got a camera in it already). Of if you really want a small foot print and much lower power consumption you can take a look at a stand alone unit like some of these. After 2 months of desktop power consumption, you might equal the cost of having bought one of these. -t
  6. I don't know how well your setup would lend itself to this, but perhaps a plexiglass sheet inserted in the right place to separate the bullies from the wrasse for a bit while the trap has a chance to work? -t
  7. I've been wanting a six-line wrasse for a while... any reason you want him out of there? Dynamite might be a bit much... but I could just imagine a Texas Stadium Style event!
  8. I put my vote in for a Scorpion Fish. If you want the predator tank, this would be my vote for a really cool setup that can do well in a small space. Feeding may be rough, but if you were willing to try the Octopus, this should be a piece of cake. -t
  9. Woo Hoo! Free Xenia! Ok, now how much for the rubble. hahha... Seriously, if you have any left, let me know. I can stop by tomorrow any time after 5:00pm. -Travis
