Thank you, Jolt, for your response.  We add only RODI water and make it ourselves with a filter made for making RODI water.  Filters are fairly new.  Should I add a pH buffer and lower the alkalinity?  I can add salt slowly and raise it.  Instead of trying corals, should we start with some cheap Damsel fish and get the Nitrites up a little? Should I buy a bottle of tank bacteria starter?  I am adding Purple Up to try to get the Coralline Algae going.  Should I give the rocks a two minute fresh water dip to get some of the gunk off?  Just recently I've found copepods but am not sure the rocks are alive.  Thoughts?
