I think it is a rock arch mounting plug. You join two rock together with a rod between two if those. Or a sponge

Yep They are laying on the bottom between some smaller rocks in the back . No flow. I tried tying them down. They just shrink up and the string comes loose. I dont really want to sew them on. Maybe some day i can turn that back lower mp60 back on

So the mag moved last night. Went the wrong way. Was a bit higher but away from the flow. So today with the light on it went the other way. It is now on the rock about even with where it was on the glass bowl. Hoping tomorrow it climbs a bit higher. Closer to the light and more flow. In plain sight from both sides of the tank.

Anemone is now in the tank. Short video of its first day. 1 cycle of the sea swirl blowing over the top of it. If it does not move by tomorrow I will take it off the glass bowl and leave it there on the rock.

It drain into a 5 gallon container that I do empty, rather than have it go down the drain. I wiped off the front a bit so you can see the foam. Looks like its growing some green algae in the neck. Maybe hair algae or green coraline.

Its a Its a heteractis magnifica (ritteri) Looking pretty good after 48 hours. Didnt like being out of the water for the min or 2 it took to do a water change (its on meds) . But inflated right back. Its on the move now. It is half on the bowl and half on the tank bottom. I think it like being sideways because to the way the water flows over it. Trying to get those leathers to attach to rocks is not easy. I have them tied down with string. Both are still not happy. I cant do too much flow because they are not attached.

Update Besides the 2 great leathers i got from bobcat. (they are not happy with cut feet) I did get a Nem today. 6 hours out of the box in QT and it is inflated now and standing tall. The mouth is open a bit. Not sure on a scale of 1 to 10 how far open it is.

From Subsea (Patrick) All of my system are saturated with silicates. I use ground water and add with no treatment to tanks to make up for evaporation. The TDS of my ground water is 950 ppm. Very close to lime water/kalk. As it turns out, the Upper Trinity Aquifer at 1000’ deep was the bottom of a shallow inland sea which was dominated with diatoms & sponges. So, all of my systems are saturated with silicates. I have an abundance of sponges & coralline algae.

I use it and have never had that issue with Red Sea Salt. I do use a mixing barrel with a very strong pump. I have had the issue with RC and IO.

Its a torch. Its pretty big now. Still only has 2 heads. Went from marble size to almost hardball size in 2 months. I got it to see if they would do ok before I got a fancy colored one. I dont have a nem yet. Maybe someday Ill get lucky.

One of my Nassarius snails deposited a batch of eggs this morning. Anyone have any luck with a hatch or do they get eaten?

Algae update; It has remained constant. I have not bothered it by vac or blowing it off. Today on the red side I added another MP60 for flow down that side of the tank. Lets see if that makes a difference. If this does not work I will get the conchs.

Ok got this sussed out. ATT has restored my faster internet over 4G. I assume it was a tower issue or something that affected the signal. I plugged in thew Apex and it has not gone into reboot mode. I did got get a new Apex just in case. (spare) The fish will have to starve for a few weeks and go without fresh water to pay for the bloody thing,.

You do have those fancy gate valves with red knobs. Be a shame not to color up the sump area
