I have always wanted to run some gorgs, once I get ready to set up a new tank I am going to try and get some.

If you are worried dump a thing of baking soda into it to neutralize the acid.

It is a great way to get rid of those pesky aluminum cans also.

My guess is that the threads are just extra long but make sure they are not cross threaded because that is pretty easy with plastic fittings. If they are to long you can always take a saw or Dremel and cut the extra threads off the bottom.

What is the smallest tank you could put one of those in?

Brs also has black pvc pipe and fittings as well as locline in various sizes. I would still put a check valve on the returns just incase the locline gets bumped accidentally or something, better have it and not need it than flood your house.
