  1. Don't give up on it Clint, it still may turn out to be something special. If it looked good in the past, it may look good again in the future. It's not like you need the real estate in your tank just yet.
  2. SOLD! Please let me know how it works out for your brother-in-law Gabriel, I'm sure he'll be very happy!
  3. I like your logic Clint, you're a smart man!
  4. Wow, I can't believe this skimmer hasn't sold yet. I just did a search on RC and this skimmer is selling for $200 there. I prefer to sell it locally and not ship it, but if someone doesn't jump on it soon I'm going to put it up on RC as well.
  5. Thanks for commenting Gabriel, I thought it was a pretty good deal myself. And if anyone wants to see this thing in action, go to Kingfish Aquariums. John uses this skimmer on his tank at the shop and it pulls out mucho gunk!
  6. $140 (goes for $271 + shipping on MarineDepot). Suitable for aquariums up to 75 gallons (although personally I wouldn't use it on anything larger than 40 or 50g, depending on how heavily it's stocked). I won't be needing mine any more, as I'm moving into a 450g tank and this would be woefully undersized!! The skimmer is in perfect condition, used only for 6 months. It has been cleaned with muriatic acid and is ready to use. Please send me a pm if interested. Mike
  7. I agree ... you should upgrade to a Hammerhead. That Barracuda's clearly not going to cut it.
  8. That sounds like a great plan, Clint! Hey, I've got an idea - why don't you ship that stupid skimmer back from where it came, and pick yourself up a nice Red Sea Prism skimmer. The 'shrooms will love it!
  9. Geez, I didn't realize ARC was so uptight. And to think I almost posted that same photo of me but from the back side
  10. Yep, great meeting all around. Too bad I was distracted by my daughter (the little blonde one), I had to bring her along to give mom a break. As a result I only heard bits and pieces of the talk and I regret not hearing the rest. Brian and Christina - Great to see the tank again, I love what you've done with the lighting and I'll need to come back again with the PAR meter to get some new readings. Thanks again for being wonderful hosts to the club, and for letting Sidney play with your pets. chrismunn - Nice to meet you too, bro. Thank your wife and daughter for playing with Sidney, she had a blast. Marc - Thanks for providing us with such a thorough discussion on sumps. You do so much for the hobby, and we are fortunate to have again been taught by you. James - You da man! - Mike
  11. I am almost positive I'll make it. Mike
  12. OMG, these pictures are just incredible. Thank you all so much for sharing them with us! Stephen, it's a rhomboid wrasse .
  13. Great photos Gabriel, I can't wait to see everyone elses as there were photographers in force at the meeting. It was a great time, and I think I had a chance to talk with everyone there individually. We've got some cool people in our club! It was an honor to co-host this meeting with the Kingfish guys, and I look forward to seeing everyone again at future meetings. We'll have to do it again at the office in a year like you said, James. I'll see what I can do to make the parking more convenient next time - sorry about that! Mike
  14. Andrew, I got the reminder email, so I guess it's working. Looks like it will be a small crowd at the meeting though . princer7 - Glad the operation went well, let me know about it when we meet on Saturday. Mike
