    32bc-back in the hobby tank

Long over due update. Went full sps Had an unexplained tank crash and lost most of them. Cleaned out the fuge, started running carbon, did multiple water changes and things went back to normal. Added tailspot blenny and 6 line wrasse Added the Aquaticlife 115 skimmer, it works I guess. Made a ghetto hybrid system with 2 $40 t5 kits from Amazon. Added 2 jebao powerheads Started dosing vinegar. Reef advantage calcium and alk. Fuel amino and red sea trace elements. Haven't had to do a water change in a couple months, things have never grown or looked better. Acro's are finally growing and encrusting!!! BPB'S 90 GALLON SPS DOMINANT

Thanks man! Yeah I felt a sharp twinge of guilt. Mainly because they feel like a slightly higher order organism than a coral. And my clown is super bummed. But I cannot have them splitting more and claiming so much space. A nem tank has never been a goal of mine and the two of them were already cleaning a good 20% of my usable rock space Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

That’s def a risk for nems sucks because they add so much to the tank IMO. The tank is looking great btw your colors and growth are awesome man, very impressed with the pics!! Excited to see what you have in store when you get the new bigger tank up and running.

Well my alk doesn't waver too much ever really. Usually stays about 7.0 dKh +/- 0.5 dKh usually at the most over a month span thanks to the Calcium Reactor. What this will do is give me a good backup system of monitoring one of the most critical parameters for my SPS health for emergency purposes. Plus, its just cool. [emoji16] Pshhh... Zip Ties... Organized cords... Overrated! [emoji51][emoji28]

Good job! I'm looking forward to seeing you set this up and how this works for you. What I'm mostly curious about is just how much more stability you can achieve and if you will observe a perceivable difference because of it. I assume that's the end game, using the monitoring function in conjunction with dosing to stabilize the Big 3, right? However, if you are already running a dialed in calcium reactor, just how much difference can it really make? BTW, I chuckled @ 2:40; I was surprised you actually knew what those were! 🤣

    BPB'S 90 GALLON SPS DOMINANT

Goodbye anemones. Hate to do that to my clown, but my tank simply isn’t big enough for split happy bubbletips. They already killed one acro colony. Totally engulfed it. Had to chisel them off the rocks and give them away. In the future I’ll consider a sand dwelling nem. Maybe if I can find a pretty Malu nem or something. No more bubbletips for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Royal gamma

I got a few royal grammas about a year and a half ago. They both disappeared within a week. I assumed dead and gone. About three weeks ago I went to feed the tank late at night. I saw a gramma in the corner of the tank. It grabbed some food and then darted into the rocks. I haven't seen it since. Do you have other tank mates that might be aggressive and keeping them in hiding?

    Rob’s 150 reboot

Pics, fish all seem happy and are enjoying the space. Corals the few LPS that I had from the only tank seem a little peeved, guess there’s not enough nutrients in the water yet. Hopefully at some point this week I’ll add a nem for the clownfish. They seem to be lost without one.
